A pivotal role in a large team.

The successful candidate will contribute to the success of the company by assuming the following responsibilities:  

  • Maintain the various data platforms related to the configuration of products.
  • Ensure the creation/modification of product bills of materials (BOMs), manufacturing routings, rules and exports necessary for the production management system (MES) and all other data necessary for the manufacture of products.
  • Ensure that data complies with corporate and regulatory requirements, report any ambiguity to the responsible functions.
  • Intervene directly with the project/design teams for any questions or problems related to manufacturing system data.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of the various data platforms in collaboration with business analysts and the IT team.
  • As required, create/write the required technical specifications.
  • Collaborate in training and user support.
  • Work in collaboration with the product development team to obtain information required for the deployment of new products.
  • Carry out Engineering Change in Systems (ECO) requests following established processes.
  • Ensure the cohesion and integrity of data between the different systems (Product Configurator, MES, ERP).
  • Support the production team by analyzing the root causes of problems related to the data provided and participate in the resolution of these problems.
  • As needed, participate in the selection and implementation of new software or technological solutions related to the function of Product Configurator Specialist
  • Carry out/collaborate in tests related to configurator updates to detect any problem that may have an impact on the user or on other systems and provide solutions to correct issues:
    • Data structure.
    • Component Engineering.
    • Rules.
    • Interface.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or a technical degree in industrial design, engineering or equivalent experience.
  • You have 3-5 years of experience with a product configuration module.
  • You are a motivated person with an excellent ability to learn.
  • You have a sense of organization and detail.
  • You can read and understand detailed CAD drawings.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of the manufacturing environment and its processes.
  • You master and understand the data structures associated with product assembly (BOM and routings).
  • You are a good communicator.
  • You are analytical and skilled at manipulating mathematical data and formulas.
  • You know FAO (asset).
