A pivotal role in a large team.

The successful candidate will contribute to the success of the company by assuming the following responsibilities:  

  • Identify, evaluate and propose opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement of production methods and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to the production and quality team.
  • Determine the various manufacturing steps, methods and processes.
  • Contribute to the drafting of documents: processes, procedures, instructions and forms.
  • Lead continuous improvement groups.
  • Participate in the design of products and manufacturing tools.
  • Maintain a regulatory, technological and organizational watch.
  • Contribute to research, data collection, analysis, improvement, development and standardization of company processes and tools.
  • Train and inform employees during the implementation of new processes and tools.
  • Ensure follow-up training following implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of effective control tools.
  • Communicate procedural memos and reminders to employees.
  • Maintain control tools following improvement projects.
  • Anticipate and/or identify and report any problems encountered in any phase of a project to his/her manager.
  • All other related tasks.

To successfully meet this challenge, we are looking for a person driven by the values of respect, teamwork, commitment and pride with the following qualifications:

  • Mastery of the Office suite.
  • Mastery of software related to methods, continuous improvement and project management (Visio, Autocad, MS Project…).
  • Fluency in French.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (an asset).
  • Thoroughness and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle several files at once.
  • Ability to manage priorities.
  • Demonstrated pedagogical skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain constructive professional relations with various internal and external functions.
  • Excellent knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes.
  • Good knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and tools used in Lean Six Sigma projects (VSM, DOE, Kaizen, DMAIC, SIPOC or FIPEC, FMEA or AMDEC, etc.).
  • Yellow Belt LSS certification, or other Lean certification (an asset).
