A pivotal role in a great team

The successful candidate will contribute to the success of the company by assuming the following responsibilities:  

  • Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and security configurations.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the availability and reliability of all systems.
  • Manage and maintain servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure proper operation.
  • Manage VLANs, routing, and overall connectivity.
  • Administer cloud environments (Azure).
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Manage software licenses and ensure compliance.
  • Plan and implement scalable and robust IT infrastructure solutions to support business operations.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data.
  • Ensure cloud security and cost optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to IT security.
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Conduct regular tests to validate the effectiveness of the recovery process.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve escalated issues.
  • Organize training sessions to improve staff technical skills.
  • Use a ticket management system to document every action related to incidents, issues, and changes.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Document and create user guides.
  • Update documentation based on changes and improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and initiatives.

To meet this challenge successfully, we’re looking for a person driven by the values of respect, teamwork, commitment and pride, with the following qualifications;

  • You have five (5) years of professional experience in IT related to the position.
  • You have a college diploma in IT or relevant experience.
  • You have good adaptability and prioritization skills in a production environment.
  • You have ease in both oral and written communication.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You have the ability to establish and maintain constructive professional relationships with various internal and external functions.
  • You have a professional level of English (spoken and written). The required level of English is necessary due to regular collaboration with colleagues in Ontario and some external suppliers.
