The successful candidate will contribute to the success of the company by assuming the following responsibilities: 

  • Promote and apply occupational health and safety practices and maintain a respectful work environment based on Cabico’s values and management philosophy.
  • Act as a manager, coach, leader, change agent and credible partner to his/her group of team members in collaboration with the operations management team.
  • Encourage teamwork and stimulate workers to innovate with new ideas.
  • Ensure compliance with our high quality standards and lead times, and support our commitment to operational excellence.
  • Achieve productivity targets and respect your department’s production plan.
  • Carry out floor rounds to monitor the overall performance of your sector.
  • Manage priorities in collaboration with support teams (customer service, planning, product engineering, quality assurance, continuous improvement, maintenance, etc.).
  • Follow up on back-orders and ensure exemplary customer service.
  • Lead the various daily production follow-up meetings, always with a customer focus.
  • Manage your department’s human resources and daily assignments.
  • Conduct departmental audits.
  • Manage your department’s WIP with a global vision.
  • Participate in your department’s continuous improvement projects.
  • Perform any other tasks designed to add value to our operations.

  • You have experience managing employees in a manufacturing environment (3 years).
  • You are familiar with Office 365 and know how to use it.
  • You have a college or university degree in management or a relevant field.
  • You are rigorous in your expectations and follow-through.
  • You are a team-builder and you know how to mobilize your team.
  • You act as an agent of change.
  • You know how to manage conflict constructively.
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English (an asset).
  • You have good priority management skills.
  • You can establish and maintain constructive working relationships with various internal and external functions.
